The Project: Queens Road, Berkhamsted
The Client: Home Owner / Private Client
The Brief: Our client had purchased a two bedroom Victorian terrace house intending to extend it to accommodate their growing family.
The Solution: The roof pitch was too shallow to enable a loft conversion without significantly reworking the roof structure as such it was decided to remodel the internal configuration of the first floor. On the ground floor the existing lean-to structures that house the coal store and original external wc are to be demolished and a new extension will be built to provide a family room at the end of the existing kitchen opening direcly on to the garden via a folding glazed screen.
Planning approval was granted on the 18th October and works are due to commence on site shortly.
