Brooklands, Monmouth

The Project: Three new woodland dwellings, Monmouth

The Client: Independent Developer

The Brief: We are appointed to complete the technical package and working drawings for the development of the planning approved scheme.

The Solution: The client was keen to develop three distinctive properties that would sit within the attractive wooded setting. The site sloped steeply down from the main road and had uninterrupted views across to the South West, by carefully positioning each of the proposed dwellings and using the topography of the site the properties could avoid overlooking one another.

The properties were designed in a New England style and provide a high level of accommodation. Due to the topography of the site the houses were developed as upside down houses with the living accommodation located at the entry level which is effectively first floor. The living accommodation in all three properties is largely open plan and opens out on to extensive decking giving an elevated view over the countryside.
